The special IT College seminar is a combination of all factors involved in offering services for Enriched Air Nitrox Diving.

There are three core segments:
Compressor knowledge and handling
Gas Blender
The commercial aspects of Enriched Air Diving

There are no fixed dates - just let us know when you want to do the cours(es)!

The compressor part of the seminar (day 1 and day 2)

We will start with an overview of the different brands and types of compressors and their features, advantages and disadvantages. You will receive contact information for the different makes. We will then pass all compressor components one by one and take a look at their function and functioning – to enhance learning, all parts will pass trough your hands. This will give you step by step the complete picture of the functioning of the total compressor unit, and you will be able to recognize problems in the functioning of such a system and their potential consequences. We will also discuss the why of each of the aspects and will take a look at the conditions under which a compressor can work at its best.
In a second session (day 2), we will dismantle a compressor block (make sure you wear clothing on which you don’t mind a drop of oil or grease) to identify the location of all the parts already covered in day 1, to better understand the relation between all the individual aspects and we will look at the aspects of adding a membrane or a constant flow Nitrox unit to the compressor system and the possibly related problems.
For those who opt to obtain the “Compressor Handling” Instructor certification, a CD-Rom with the outline, a PowerPoint presentation and hand-outs for students is included in the additional fee.

The Gas Blender part of the seminar (day 3)

In the Gas Blender part we will cover the characteristics of Oxygen and the requirements for Oxygen Compatible Air. The other parts of this program have both a theory and a practical part: Oxygen Cleaning, Gas Blending Methods. The requirements for the cleaning of equipment will be discussed and then be done in a practical workshop. The same sequence for the filling of cylinders – after the explanation of the mathematical aspects (bring your calculator) and the procedures we will fill cylinders with Enriched Air.
Combined with the compressor part, the seminars give a total overview of the system requirements and maintenance for offering Enriched Air services.

The part of the seminar for the commercial aspects of offering Enriched Air services (integrated throughout the course)

We will supply you with data for the cost of the different methods for filling cylinders with Enriched Air (some data need to be simulated, as they vary from region to region) and will then apply this in a workshop for calculations, adapted to your own situation and volume.
We will then take a look at marketing Enriched Air Services and your options to use your Enriched Air services for marketing purposes and the way you can make use of the revised PADI Enriched Air Specialty to achieve financial success with the installation.
