| The Instructor Training College is unique in the world. It was
PADI itself that started the development of this center in 1985
and the center was run by PADI until 1994 under the name of PADI
European College. |

 As PADI decided to concentrate on support of training and not
on training itself, all PADI Colleges, including the PADI
European College were closed and two former employees from the
College were offered the possibility to take over the already
excellent infra structure. |
| It was Daniela Goldstein who, with the help form
Jan Oldenhuizing, continued working on this location in 1994 and
named it the Instructor Training College, to reflect the major
activity of the center. |
| Specially build for diving, it is for all the infrastructure
of the IT College that makes it unique: the fully equipped
classrooms, the location directly at the Mediterranean Sea, the
big garden guaranteeing tranquility, the on-site pool, etc. etc. |
 The next unique aspect is
the staff. The IT College works with
a full time team of Course Directors and Staff Instructors that
belong to the most known around the world. Next to our duties in
teaching we have done field testing for PADI and MARES and
received recognition in many forms. |
| Also traveling and accommodation do not pose a problem. Cannes
is easy to reach by highway and by air (the airport from Nice is
less than half an hour away) and only minutes walking from the
College you will find many hotels and apartment buildings. |
| It is the total of location in the South of France, the people
you will work with, the infrastructure, the fact that you will
not need any transport during your stay, the expertise and the
logistical support, what will make your training program as a
diver or as an instructor unforgettable. |
| What is in a name? A lot! The name Instructor Training College
is referring to the fact that we train people and that we take
our job very serious doing that. Many of our students are
training to become an instructor or are instructors who continue
their education. However, this does not mean that we do only
that - also divers and want-to-be divers are welcome! |
