| Improve your employment possibilities |
Euro-Divers has divecenters in many resort locations – Maldives, Indonesia, Thailand, Egypt, Spain, etc. They are in constant need of new staff. All resorts are multi-lingual. This means that the communication between the instructors, the technical staff, the boat crew and the management has to take place in a common language – English. As Euro-Divers operates many divecenters for Club Med, they are one of the few companies in recreational diving that employ a significant number of French speaking instructors, but there is also a need for German, Italian, Russian, Japanese and other languages. If you speak one or more of these languages and English, and if you have a forthcoming attitude, then this program is designed for you. |
Euro-Divers employs exclusively PADI instructors – but not just any PADI instructor. To be considered for employment, you are required to have additional knowledge and skills. In cooperation with Euro-Divers, the IT College has created an add-on module to the IDC to provide you with exactly the additional training the Euro-Divers wants – equipment maintenance, biology and customer relation skills. Once you have completed this module, you are considered for employment before other instructors. |
| The training takes 5 days. Every day is a mix between the 3 subjects. There are many practical workshops (especially for equipment), but most of the program will take place in the classroom. To adjust to your future professional environment, the program will be conducted in English, but there will be a multi-lingual instructor available to help with any terminology you do not understand. |
The training covers far more than the “normal” specialty instructor course. For that reason, you qualify to be certified for several specialty ratings: Advanced Equipment Specialty Instructor, Naturalist Specialty Instructor, Fish Identification Specialty Instructor, Research Specialty Instructor and Environmental Protection Specialty Instructor – as an added benefit, the program thus prepares you at the same time for your Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating. |
| The training is intensive and you are expected to invest some time every evening to read assigned segments in the course documentation. Course hours are from 09.00 to 12.30 and from 13.30 to 18.00. There is a session after every IE in Cannes – the dates are found here. |
