Diving sometimes takes place at remote locations where medical assistance is not readily available. Divers are therefore required (starting from the level of Rescue Diver) to have training in first aid and CPR. If you train divers and have to send them of to do a first aid course somewhere else, your customer service is not what it should be. This is the reason why every PADI Instructor is also required to be an EFR Instructor (or an equivalent certification from another organization).
Most Diving related medical problems have hypoxia (a lack of oxygen) as one of the symptoms. Training in the use of oxygen for first aid is therefore a recommended skill for all divers, regardless of their certification level. It is no more than prudent to qualify yourself to teach courses on this subject.
The College can offer complete flexibility for the scheduling of your course. You can opt for half or full days, do several days of training without taking a break or take your course one day at a time. Learning is a personal experience and you should opt for a schedule that fits your needs. The current prices for our courses and services are found in the latest version of our brochure.
